Quick answer

Thiruvananthapuram professionals can earn a train the trainer certification from Bodhih through the nearest open classroom batch in Bengaluru (9–12 Dec 2026, ₹40,000 + GST), the live online batch or an in-house program. The TTT course is 4 days and 32+ hours, 80% practice, with at most 15 participants. No batch is currently announced in Thiruvananthapuram itself.

Where are trainers needed in Thiruvananthapuram?

Thiruvananthapuram is Kerala's capital, and its working life is shaped by three things: a large technology park, a cluster of national space and research institutions, and the offices of the state government. Add a strong hospital network and some of Kerala's best-known beaches, and you have a city where a surprising number of people teach as part of their job without ever being called trainers.

  • Technopark. Set up in 1990 at Kazhakkoottam, Technopark was among India's first technology parks and remains the city's largest private employer base. Engineering leads, QA specialists and delivery managers run onboarding, product and client-process training for steady streams of new joiners.
  • Space and research institutions. The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre at Valiamala, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology and the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology are all here. Scientists and engineers mentor juniors, run internal workshops and teach visiting students, and are rarely given time to learn how adults absorb technical material.
  • Healthcare. The Government Medical College, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, the Regional Cancer Centre and a growing number of private hospitals employ nurse educators and clinical trainers who teach procedures, infection control and patient communication.
  • Tourism and wellness. Kovalam, Varkala and the Ayurveda resorts along the southern coast depend on front-office, spa and guest-service teams that change with the season and need quick, consistent training.
  • Government and public institutions. As the seat of the Secretariat, state departments and many public sector undertakings, the city has officers who double as induction faculty and resource persons at departmental training programmes.

Across all five, the pattern is the same: a capable expert is handed a training slot and does their best with slides. The principles of adult learning are usually the first thing that changes how they teach.

Going to Bengaluru versus staying in Thiruvananthapuram

Bengaluru classroom. Bodhih is headquartered in Bengaluru, roughly an hour and a quarter by air from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, with overnight trains as an alternative. The December batch runs from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM for four straight days, so plan to reach Bengaluru the evening before and stay through Day 4. This is the format for people who want the energy of a room and real distance from email.

Live online. Being on IST, you join at 9:00 AM and finish at 6:00 PM local time, with nothing to convert. Thiruvananthapuram has many professionals who work with Gulf clients or family abroad; for a participant in Riyadh or Kuwait City on the same batch, that day is 6:30 AM–3:30 PM, and in Singapore 11:30 AM–8:30 PM. Online works well for Technopark engineers who mostly train distributed teams, and for hospital staff who can secure four days off but not travel. Read about the virtual trainer certification if online delivery is your main need.

In-house. A research institution, hospital or IT company with a cohort of trainers can bring the program to its own campus, which avoids travel costs and lets participants work on their own material.

Colleagues in Ernakulam and central Kerala can compare these options on our Kochi page, which covers Infopark, the port and Kochi's hospitals.

What will I learn on the TTT course?

80 / 20practice to theory
15seats per batch, maximum
₹40,000+ GST per participant
12skill areas in your report
2,000+companies served since 2008

Day 1 opens with a short delivery so you have a baseline. From there you work through Training Needs Analysis, objectives written with Bloom's Taxonomy, session design with ADDIE and Kolb's learning cycle, and a long block of facilitation practice: platform presence, questioning, debriefing activities, managing difficult participants and keeping a virtual room engaged. Peers give structured feedback using Bodhih's Trainer Competency Matrix. The program ends with Kirkpatrick's four levels of evaluation and your final assessed certification delivery, compared against your Day 1 baseline so the change is visible. The 3 trainer toolkits you choose from Bodhih's library of 100 give you activities to reuse. See the complete curriculum.

For scientists and engineers who will mostly teach technical content, the technical train the trainer page shows how the same skills apply to systems, tools and procedures.

Is the Bodhih credential an official qualification?

It is a professional skills certification issued by Bodhih Training Solutions, earned through an assessed delivery and verifiable online with a unique credential ID. It is not a government accreditation and is not linked to any Kerala state body, university or national regulator. Corporate training in India is not a licensed profession, so organisations decide for themselves what evidence of trainer skill they want.

Government departments in Kerala run their own training through institutions such as the Institute of Management in Government, and vocational trainers working on national skill qualifications go through sector skill council Training of Trainers schemes. Those systems decide who may deliver particular content; the TTT is about how well that content is delivered. If you are weighing other credentials, read our comparison of Bodhih TTT, ATD and CIPD.

In-house programs for Thiruvananthapuram organisations

When an organisation trains a group, the program is shaped around its actual sessions, for example a code-review clinic, a biosafety induction, a guest-recovery script or a departmental orientation. Participants rebuild one module each, deliver it for assessment and return to work with it ready to run. Delivery can be onsite or virtual, and sessions can be fitted around project milestones or ward rosters. Find out how the corporate TTT works.

Steps to enrol

  1. Decide on a format: Bengaluru in December, Mumbai in November, online or in-house.
  2. Secure funding. Sponsored participants can use Bodhih's Manager Justification Kit, which includes an ROI estimate and an email to forward. Our article on getting training approved helps too.
  3. Book on the Razorpay page, or ask solutions@bodhih.com for an invoice or purchase order.
  4. Bring real content. Choose a session you already teach; it becomes your practice and certification material.

If the program is not delivering real value for you by the end of Day 2, the Transform or Transfer guarantee moves your seat to a later batch without charge, and any days you miss for work or illness can be completed in a future batch.

Serving south Kerala and beyond

The same options cover Kollam, Attingal, Neyyattinkara, Varkala and Nagercoil across the Tamil Nadu border. For other cities, visit the locations page.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a TTT course in Thiruvananthapuram?

No open classroom batch is scheduled in Thiruvananthapuram right now. The nearest is in Bengaluru on 9–12 December 2026, with an earlier batch in Mumbai on 18–21 November 2026. You can also take the live online batch or arrange an in-house program. Call +91 99000 11603 for current dates.

What is the fee for the train the trainer certification?

Public classroom batches cost ₹40,000 + GST per participant. The fee includes the workbook, 3 trainer toolkits of your choice, lunch and refreshments, and the credential. Your travel and stay in Bengaluru are extra. Online and in-house pricing is on the fees page or on request.

Is this course suitable for scientists and research staff?

Yes. Researchers often teach complex material to juniors, students and visiting groups. The program helps you set clear objectives, break technical content into manageable chunks, check understanding with good questions and use practical activities. You can bring a real technical topic for your practice and certification deliveries. Content accuracy stays your responsibility; the course focuses on teaching method.

Does a government officer get any official recognition from the credential?

The Bodhih Certified Trainer credential is a professional certification issued by Bodhih, not a government qualification, so it does not carry service or promotion benefits by itself. Officers who act as internal faculty use it to strengthen their delivery and design skills. Check your department's own rules on sponsored external training before you enrol.

How is the online batch different from the Bengaluru classroom?

The curriculum, assessment and credential are the same. Online runs live on IST, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with cameras on, breakout practice and on-screen deliveries. The classroom adds face-to-face group work and the experience of a physical room. Choose based on how you will mostly train. The online TTT page explains the format.

Should I choose the Kochi or Thiruvananthapuram route?

Both cities are served the same way: online, in-house, or by travelling to a classroom batch in Bengaluru or Mumbai. Pick whichever page matches where your organisation is based. The Kochi page focuses on central Kerala's IT, port and healthcare employers.
