Quick answer

You can earn a Training of Trainers (TOT) / Train the Trainer certification in Ghana through Bodhih's 4-day Certified TTT program, delivered in-house in Accra or any Ghanaian city, as a dedicated online batch timed to Ghana (5.5 hours behind India), or at an India open batch. Fees are in GHS or USD on request, and batches are capped at 15.

Online timing: Ghana time vs IST

Ghana runs on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT, UTC+0) all year and is 5.5 hours behind India Standard Time. A 9:00 AM–6:00 PM IST online day would run from 3:30 AM to 12:30 PM in Accra, so the open IST batches are not a sensible option. Instead, Bodhih arranges dedicated online batches timed to Ghanaian working hours for in-house groups, or delivers in a classroom at your venue. The format of live online delivery is explained on the online TTT page.

Why TOT matters in Ghana

In Ghana, as across West Africa, "TOT" is the standard way to scale learning. A central team cannot personally train every branch officer, extension worker, teacher or health volunteer, so it trains trainers who then cascade the content. The quality of those first trainers sets the ceiling for everything that follows.

  • Banking, insurance and mobile money train branch staff and agent networks on products, customer service and compliance.
  • Telecommunications onboard retail, sales and support teams as products evolve.
  • Gold mining, oil and gas — in the Western and Ashanti regions and around Takoradi — rely on safety and technical trainers.
  • Cocoa and agribusiness depend on field and extension trainers to reach farmers.
  • Government ministries, agencies and district assemblies run capacity-building programmes through trainer cascades.
  • NGOs, development partners and regional bodies based in Accra, including the AfCFTA Secretariat, run TOTs for staff and partners across the region.

Our guide to Training of Trainers (TOT) explains how to design a cascade so the message does not dilute at each layer.

Classroom or online: which suits Ghanaian teams?

Because the open online batches run on India time, Ghanaian organisations usually choose between two formats. An in-house classroom batch in Accra or a regional centre gives the richest practice — participants stand up, deliver, receive feedback and redeliver in the same room. A dedicated online batch on Ghana time suits teams spread across regions or countries, and builds the virtual facilitation skills that many programmes now need. Either way, the 15-participant cap and the 80% practice ratio stay the same.

Who attends from Ghana

Typical participants include HR and L&D officers, bank and telecom academy faculty, HSE officers, programme officers and project managers responsible for TOTs, public-service trainers, university and college staff who run professional courses, and independent consultants. There are no formal prerequisites. Because every participant redesigns a module they actually deliver — a branch induction, a safety briefing, a farmer-training session or a policy workshop — the practice stays close to Ghanaian realities.

The Bodhih Certified Train The Trainer (TTT) Program covers adult learning (Knowles' andragogy, Kolb's cycle, Bloom's Taxonomy), instructional design with ADDIE and Training Needs Analysis, experiential activities and storytelling, platform skills and difficult-participant handling, and Kirkpatrick's four levels of evaluation — useful when donors or boards ask for evidence that training worked. You receive a verifiable credential ID, a LinkedIn badge and lifetime alumni access. See the curriculum. The credential is a professional skills certification from Bodhih Training Solutions; no accreditation by a Ghanaian authority is claimed.

In-house TOT for Ghanaian organisations

For a bank, telecom, mining company, ministry or NGO, an in-house batch is the most practical option: your venue in Accra or the regions, your dates, and practice on your own content. Trainers from Nigeria and other West African offices can join. Senior trainers who will prepare future trainers can progress to Bodhih's Master Trainer Certification. See the corporate Train the Trainer page for how programs are scoped.

  4. Attend all four days and give the final certification delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bodhih's Training of Trainers program available in Accra?

Yes, as an in-house batch at your organisation's venue in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi or elsewhere in Ghana, as a dedicated online batch timed to Ghana, or by travelling to an open batch in Mumbai or Bengaluru. No public open batch in Ghana is currently announced. Email solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.

How much does a TOT course cost in Ghana?

Fees for Ghanaian participants are shared on request in GHS or USD, depending on format, location and group size. An in-house quote covers a whole batch of up to 15 participants, which is usually the most economical choice for organisations. Email solutions@bodhih.com with your city, dates and number of trainers.

Can I join a regular online batch from Ghana?

The open online batches run on India time, and Ghana (GMT) is 5.5 hours behind, so a 9:00 AM–6:00 PM IST day would be 3:30 AM–12:30 PM in Accra. That is not practical, so Ghanaian groups are offered a dedicated online batch timed to West African working hours. Individuals should ask about suitable options.

Is the Bodhih certificate accredited in Ghana?

Bodhih claims no accreditation from any Ghanaian authority for this program. The Bodhih Certified Trainer credential is a professional skills certification issued by Bodhih Training Solutions, verifiable online through its unique credential ID. If your role or a funder requires a specific national qualification, check that requirement directly.

Is the program suitable for NGO and donor-funded project trainers?

Yes. Development programmes in Ghana commonly train a core group who then train district staff, teachers, farmers or community volunteers. The program builds the participatory design, facilitation and evaluation skills that cascade depends on, and each participant redesigns their own module — so the practice reflects your project, not generic corporate examples.

Can trainers from other West African countries join?

Yes. Organisations with operations in Ghana, Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone or Liberia can bring trainers into one in-house batch, at a single venue or as a dedicated online batch. Batches are capped at 15 participants so everyone gets enough practice and feedback.
